2026 ADC Calendar Announced

The 2026 Australian Drivers’ Championship calendar has been revealed, with six rounds confirmed.

The six rounds will be spread over multiple Australian Auto-Sport Alliance sanctioned circuit racing platforms, from the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, brand-new AASA Nationals as well as the Victorian Motor Racing Championship (VMRC).

ADC drivers will visit three states over the course of the season, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. The calendar is made up of the drivers’ favourites from the last two seasons.

Australian Drivers’ Championship competitors race in identical, ultra-fast, Aussie built, Hyper Racer X1 machines, well-suited to fast and flowing circuits.

The season will commence with the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia from March 13-15.

It was at this venue in 2024 that the Hayabusa powered open-wheelers made their successful Super Series debut, with the high-downforce vehicles extremely well-suited to The Bend.

Round 2 takes place a month later from April 18-19 at the historic Calder Park Raceway. Although opposite in character to The Bend, the Victorian venue produces great slip-stream duels.

One Raceway in New South Wales will hold the third ADC round from June 20-21 as part of the AASA Nationals round. The venue formerly known as Wakefield Park has become a category favourite amongst drivers.

Round 4 sees the ADC back alongside the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series at Sydney Motorsport Park from July 17-18.

The penultimate round takes place at Winton Motor Raceway from October 3-4.

The final round is a return visit to Calder Park Raceway as part of the Open-Wheel Short Track Nationals. As well as being the concluding round of the championship, it also doubles as the Australian Drivers’ Championship Nationals.

Dean Crooke – Director of Hyper Racer

“We are really, really happy with this year's calendar,” Crooke said. “Again in 2026 we're not doing the whole Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, so we have decided to mix it up across the platforms.

“Last year the first half of the season was extremely condensed which made all the turnarounds tough. This year all rounds are nicely spread out across the course of the year and at a great selection of tracks.

“We picked key rounds with the Super Series at The Bend opener and under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park which is fantastic. It suits us to race at Winton and Calder with the state run VMRC.

“Our car suits corners, so everyone wants to go to the Bend, everyone wants to go to SMP, everyone wants to go to One Raceway, they are perfect for these cars.

“The Australian Drivers’ Championship field is so strong, the last round of 2025 I thought was probably our best round ever.  The whole field's doing such a good job, if a top driver is having an off weekend, they are outside the top 10.

“We're now a seriously competitive race category, there's a lot of young talent up the front of this field, I can’t wait for the season to start, it's going to be on!”

Marcos Ambrose – AASA Competition and Commercial Director

“ADC is a fantastic Category for AASA,” Ambrose stated. “The team at Hyper Racer have done an incredible job, not only to design and build a low-cost high performance open wheel race car but also manage the ADC for their customers.

“It would without doubt be the best value for speed, racing category in the country. It is run by a passionate group of people who are focused on keeping the racing fair, low cost and fun.

“As the ADC grows, we at AASA continue to support the series by providing more events to race in and work with the category to keep a lid on costs whilst delivering more track time and more race laps.

“We are committed to providing the ADC with quality weekend schedules and lots of tv time/streaming so the teams, drivers and sponsors can be seen and supported by our fans during 2026.

“This year we expect to see record grid sizes, the most competitive field yet, and as always, exciting racing.”
