Hi-Tec Motorsport PTY LTD looking to build on Round 1 success
Round 2 of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series 2026 – Season 4 will take place next weekend at Queensland Raceway from May 1-3, and the series promoter promises it will be one to remember.
During the off-season Hi-Tec Motorsport PTY LTD took over the rights as the promoter of the series.
Hi-Tec Motorsport PTY LTD is led by George Gambino who has supported the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance’s premier circuit racing championship since its inception.
The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series now plays host to some significant national championships including the TA2 Muscle Car Series, Yokohama AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship, Australian Endurance Championship and Australian Drivers’ Championship.
The upcoming round at Queensland Raceway titled the 2 Days of Thunder will have an endurance theme. TA2, the Australian Endurance Championship and the Australian Innovation Race Cars Series will all run long-distance two-driver races.
Gambino promises that 2 Days of Thunder at Queensland Raceway will feature action both on and off the track.
“Looking ahead to Round 2 at Queensland Raceway, there’s a lot to be excited about,” Gambino said.
“The TA2 Tag Team Enduro is set to be a major highlight, particularly with some big names expected to be involved, while the Australian Endurance Championship will take centre stage with their three-hour enduro on Saturday.
“Off the track, it’s shaping up to be a great event as well, with entertainment across the weekend and a fireworks display on Saturday night, making it a real experience for fans.
“If Round 1 is anything to go by, we’re set for another exciting weekend of racing.”
From a Hi-Tec Motorsport point of view, the team makes sure that the event runs smoothly, that the sponsors get the exposure they deserve, while also assisting with the TV broadcast.
The 2026 season commenced at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park on the shorter West Circuit, and this proved to be a major success. The shorter layout produced some of the most exciting racing in the history of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series.
“Round 1 was an exceptional way to open the 2026 Hi-Tec Oils Super Series,” he said. “Across the entire program, the level of competition was outstanding, and it’s clear we’re in for a very strong and diverse season.
“From a promoter’s perspective, it delivered exactly what we were aiming for: close racing, strong grids across multiple categories, and great engagement from teams and fans. There’s a real sense of momentum building already.”
It was also a successful weekend for Hi-Tec Motorsport at The Bend as the squad also fielded cars in both the TA2 Muscle Car Series and Australian IRC Series.
Jackson Rice leads the TA2 standings after winning the final race of the weekend and Lee Stibbs is at the top of the table in IRC after collecting two of the three race wins.
“Hi-Tec Motorsport had a standout weekend to kick things off,” Gambino said. “To have all three entries performing so strongly in their respective categories is a credit to the preparation and effort from everyone involved.”
TA2, Australian Endurance Championship, Yokohama AASA Australian Formula Ford and Australian IRC Series will also be joined by the TFH Hire Australian Legend Cars Championship, AASA TT, Queensland Touring Car Championship and Queensland Superkarts at Queensland Raceway.
