Pye returns to Hi-Tec Oils Super Series broadcast team

Former Sandown 500 winner Scott Pye returns to the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series broadcast team for the 2 Days of Thunder at Queensland Raceway this weekend May 1-3.

Pye made his debut as part of the TV team at the opening round of the series at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia, and will return in the same role for the second event.

Since the first event, Pye and his Apex Hunters United co-host Elliot Barbour hosted the inaugural round of the Hi-Tec Oils AASA Short Track Nationals powered by WOLF SPORTS.

As he did in South Australia, Pye will again be taking on several roles. He will be the co-host, pit lane reporter and Yokohama AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship co-commentator.

Matt Cavanaugh returns as the host and main commentator.

Supercars Championship commentator Matt Naulty will call all the action in the TA2 Muscle Car Series.

Dan McCarthy will call a large bulk of the support category races, as Melinda Price will be reporting from the lane.

In addition, TFH Hire Legend Cars Australia reporters Matt Totani and Jai Eccles will also be back.

The 2 Days of Thunder is an endurance themed event with three categories running two-driver endurance races over the course of the weekend.

Some of Australia and New Zealand’s best drivers will be flocking to compete in the annual TA2 Tag Team Enduro event.

Names already announced include current Supercars Championship front runners Brodie Kostecki and Ryan Wood, two-time Bathurst 1000 winner Will Davison and Supercars Championship co-drivers Tim Slade and Nash Morris.

The Australian Endurance Championship will contest a lengthy enduro under lights on Saturday night, while the Australian IRC Series will also feature a couple of endurance races.

Other categories include the Yokohama AASA Australian Formula Ford Championship, TFH Hire Legend Cars Australia, AASA TT, Queensland Touring Car Championship and Queensland Superkarts.
