Hi-Tec Oils Super Series moves to endurance mode for Fight in the Night
The traditional ‘Fight in the Night’ event makes its debut on the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series schedule in 2025 and brings with it an endurance format for Round 4 at Queensland Raceway.
The Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championships, TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series presented by Maritimo and Innovation Race Cars will provide the endurance elements at the Fight in the Night, while the Australian Super Tin Tops Championship, Formula Vee Australia, Queensland Superkarts and Queensland Touring Car Championship form a stacked bill.
Bringing the prestigious Fight in the Night concept to the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series is a new category to the roster, the Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championships.
Variety is key to production car racing as the likes of BMW, Ford, Mazda, HSV, Volkswagen and more compete in the ultimate showroom showdown.
Featuring limited modifications, the production cars racing on track are relatable to the ones driven on the streets every day.
Bringing the star power is the TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series presented by Maritimo led by racing legend Craig Lowndes, who will join rising Chevrolet young gun Jarrod Hughes.
Competing alongside Lowndes will be Todd Hazelwood, Nathan Herne, Clay Richards, Nash Morris, Ben Bargwanna and many more to be announced
The racing is sure to be hot thanks to the thundering TA2 package featuring a powerful V8 and H-pattern gearbox ensuring plenty of action.
Innovation Race Cars is a category to watch as the season wears on, with growing fields and close racing.
Endurance racing is what the various generations of IRC models are made for and will add into the endurance element.
Designed around the ethos of a solid base package, IRC combine this with V8 power, plus driver aids such as traction control and ABS
IRC cars are like Supercars, but with all the GT3 aids. A muscle car with a big V8, however assisted by traction control and ABS.
Although the Australian Super Tin Tops Championship is hosting sprint events, the category will once again be well supported at Fight in the Night.
Featuring an eclectic array of makes, models and modifications, Ford Falcons compete against Subarus, Holdens, BMWs, Toyotas and many more leading to some thrilling dices throughout the field.
Formula Vee has been a staple of the Australian motorsport scene for nearly half a century and makes a welcome return to the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series program.
A low cost entry level open-wheel category using a Volkswagen engine, Formula Vee arguably provides the closest competition in the country due to the slipstreaming abilities of the class.
The Queensland Touring Car Championship is much in the spirit of the Super Tin Tops, but the local competitors will provide plenty of action where a Ford Escort will take on the likes of Holden Commodores, BMWs, Mitsubishis, Toyota, Subarus and many more.
Some even feature famous tribute liveries from days gone by.
Completing the categories at Fight in the Night is the Queensland Superkarts, which set some of the fastest times at many circuits across the country.
Matching record setting pace, with close combat racing across multiple classes, the Queensland Superkarts will provide a thrill not only on track, but on the timesheets.
Tickets for the Fight in the Night are on sale now and include free access to the pit paddock, which can be purchased here.
Round 4 of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series will be broadcast live through SBS Viceland, Fox Sports, Kayo in addition to through the social media accounts and YouTube Channel.
