Why and how to watch the Super Series at SMSP

Get set for a big weekend of high-octane action at Sydney Motorsport Park, Round 2 of the Hi-tec Oils Super Series will be the biggest ever with a record nine, yes, nine categories.

You won’t want to miss a second, whether that’s at the track or tuning in from home.

The Sydney Sundown takes place over the next couple of days, starting on Friday morning and running through until late on Saturday night.

Both of the days will feature racing for hours after the sun has gone down, the SMSP floodlights will come on and illuminate the venue.

As always there will be many ways to watch the racing, with the most action being live streamed on the Super Series YouTube channel.

The livestream will run from 14:00-22:00 AEST on Friday and from 13:30-22:00 AEST on Saturday.

As always, the event will also be shown live on Fox Sports Australia, SBS Viceland and streamed on SBS On Demand and Kayo Sports. These broadcasts start at 17:00 AEST and run until 21:00pm AEST on both Friday and Saturday.

All categories will be shown on the live stream over the course of the weekend, with the regular series getting all their races on the coverage.

The categories are as follows, the ever-entertaining TA2 Muscle Car Series, with 20 Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers, they always deliver action.

The pocket-rocket Legend Cars Australia Series boast a field of 34 cars, watch for these to go four or even five wide around the Sydney circuit.

The open-wheel breeding ground that is the Formula Ford Stars and Renegades Series has a talented field of young up and comers,

Add a field of nearly 20 Australian Drivers’ Championship drivers, competing in identical Aussie built Hyper Racer X1 machines, can anyone stop Damon Sterling?

Another Aussie designed and built racing car, the Innovation Race Cars will start their endurance season under lights at SMSP.

A field of 27 cars including 13 series debutants makes the Australian Super Tin Tops a must watch.

The Sydney Sundown will also play host to the Super Series debut for the Australian Production Car Series.

Other categories include the buzzing Australian Formula Vees and Replica Tourers, the latter itself makes its first trip interstate as a series.

A general admission ticket on Friday cost just $20 for anyone 16 and over, and only $30 on Saturday, a discounted price for a two-day pass will get you in the gates on both days for just $40, that’s $40 for 28 hours of on-track action across the two days!

The day starts at 8.30am on Friday and runs until 10.10pm, similarly the day ignites at 8.30am on Saturday, finishing a touch later at 10.20pm.
