Mallala returns to the national scene

National motor racing returns to the historic Mallala Motorsport Park in South Australia, which will host the penultimate round of the 2025 Hi-Tec Oils Super Series.

The Mallala Masters takes place on September 26-28 and will be the first national event held at the venue since the COVID-19 pandemic and is the only time the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series will race in South Australia.

Five national categories are on the drawcard, boasting a vast array of machines from V8 muscle to open-wheelers and pocket rockets.

The TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series, TFH Hire Legend Cars Australia, Formula Ford Stars Series, Innovation Race Cars and Australian Formula Vee will all be in action throughout the event.

It will be a fascinating round due to a large majority of the competitor base has never been to Mallala, let alone raced there, which will be a great equaliser for all drivers and may result in a few surprise results.

The TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series by Maritimo returns to its regular single driver format this round after the Tag Team Enduro event at Queensland Raceway.

A strong field of Ford Mustangs, Chevy Camaros and Dodge Challengers will contest the event at a circuit set to suit the bustling V8 muscle cars.

The Formula Ford Stars Series has not been on track since June, the youngsters will be keen to test their skill around the tight and technical Mallala course.

Qualifying and two races will be held across both days, with motorsport’s next generation seat turn on close competition during the round.

Legend Cars Australia is another category well suited to Mallala due to the importance of slipstreaming and braveness under brakes. Don’t be surprised to watch as the Legends go three-wide continuously around the Mallala layout as a mix of national and state champions will contest the event.

Innovation Race Cars return to a sprint format at Mallala as the category continues to grow thanks to the completion of new builds. Mixing the best of Australian ingenuity and international endurance pedigree, IRC is due to welcome some new drivers to the fold in South Australia

Completing the program is Australian Formula Vee, which will be a category not to miss at Mallala due to the closeness of the racing as the margins will be measured by tenths or hundredths of a second. Teams have travelled from interstate namely from Western Australia and Queensland to add further intrigue to the round.
