Star-studded TA2 Enduro field locked in

Supercars Championship stars headline a remarkable entry list for the upcoming TA2 Muscle Car Series Tag Team enduro round of the TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series presented by Maritimo Luxury Yachts this weekend at Queensland Raceway, as part of Round 4 of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series.

Racing royalty will descend upon Ipswich with Supercars champions and Bathurst 1000 winners making this the most competitive TA2 field to date.

TA2 Championship leader Jarrod Hughes will be joined by three-time Supercars champion and seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner Craig Lowndes, ‘Lowndesy’ will make his debut in the series alongside the Chevrolet-backed driver.

Fellow Chevrolet-backed steerer Alice Buckley became the first female driver to record a race win in the TA2 Muscle Car Series and did this on debut at the most recent event. This round she will be joined by mentor two-time Supercars race winner and Trans Am regular Tim Slade.

Adding to the strength of the entry is the combination of 2023 Supercars champion and reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Brodie Kostecki driving alongside Paul Morris, who holds the distinction of winning the Triple Crown at Mount Panorama.

Kostecki has experience of racing a TA2 at Queensland Raceway, finishing on the podium in his one and only Trans Am round in 2022.

Todd Hazelwood co-drove with Kostecki to last year’s Bathurst victory, but the duo will compete against each other as the reigning Trans Am Series winner teams with Josh Thomas.

Supercars full-timer James Golding has won in Trans Am also this season and will join his Garry Rogers Motorsport teammate Lachlan Evennett in an Ashley Jarvis Racing-entered Ford Mustang.

Former Super2 Series winner Declan Fraser will join Hayden Jackson in the HJ Driver Coaching Dodge Challenger, while two-time Trans Am series winner Nathan Herne links up with Tom Davies.

Reigning TA2 Muscle Car Series winner Josh Haynes re-joins the category alongside regular front-runner Lee Stibbs in the Hi-Tec Oils sponsored #66.

YouTube sensation Jordan Cox further adds depth to the field courtesy of TCR and Trans Am experience as he partners long-time supporter Mark Crutcher.

Many second and third generation drivers will also be in the thick of the action. George Miedecke will join Josh Webster in the AutoFix Mustang.

Aaron Seton will drive with Super2 driver Ben Gomersall, as Ben Bargwanna and Clay Richards team up in a bid for success.

Nash Morris pairs up with Diesel Thomas who sits fourth in the series, Elliot Barbour once again joins Des Collier, while Blake Tracey teams with South Australian Brad Gartner.

The annual TA2 Muscle Car Series Tag Team Enduro round comprises of four sprint races, two for each driver and a pair of 45-minute two-driver endurance races.
