Two from two for Kobi Williams at Winton Wrap

It’s been a perfect start to the Formula Ford Stars Series finale for Kobi Williams at the Winton Wrap.

Williams led from start-to-finish after entering the round as series winner and secured a 4.275s from the Mygale of Will Lowing, with Jamie Rowe adding another podium to his season tally.

It proved a masterful performance by Williams after adding his 14th win of the season.

Joe Fawcett’s chances of gaining second place hit a small speed bump when he went off at the fast Turn 5 sweeper, but he was able to recover and pass Bard James for fourth to minimise the damage.

Fawcett was up to second when he speared off after passing Lowing into Turn 1.

James continued his top five pace and is on-track to enjoy his best event of the season in the Carac-backed Marcos Ambrose Motorsport Spectrum.

Isaac Demellweek was another to be a victim of the Turn 5 sweeper and ended the sixth ahead of a recovering Tabitha Ambrose in her repaired Pirtek Spectrum.

The final finisher was Jack Johnson as his team investigated whether there was damage after his clash with Ambrose in Race 1.

Qualifying and two races follow for the Formula Ford Stars Series on Sunday of the Winton Wrap.
