TA2 Muscle Cars has renewed as the headline act on the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series bill
The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series is delighted to confirm the TA2 Muscle Car Series has renewed as the headline act for Season 4 - 2026.
Since the inaugural running of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series in 2023, the TA2 Muscle Car Series has been a staple on its roster thrilling fans and attracting some of the biggest names in Australian motorsport.
The 525 HP, rear-wheel-drive V8 monsters are enjoying unprecedented interest and expansion after much change in the last 12 months including new category owners (HCC) and new category management.
It’s a journey matched by the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, which in 2025 has welcomed new categories and attracted a growing competitor base.
Further moves by Hi-Tec Oils Super Series management includes the addition of Marcos Ambrose as the AASA National Competition and Commercial Director.
Ambrose will utilise his experiences from Supercars and NASCAR to energise the Super Series with a focus on making racing more affordable, more rewarding and more intense for the competitor and race fan.
For 2026, the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series will feature one of the best broadcast packages in Australia courtesy of coverage on free-to-air, Kayo and Fox Sports, plus live stream on the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series YouTube Channel.

Carolyn Oldano
Series Manager, Hi-Tec Oils Super Series
“It’s fantastic to have TA2 Muscle Cars remain on the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series bill,” said Oldano.
“As one of our premier categories, TA2 has played a major role in shaping the identity of the Series.
“There’s no doubt everyone loves the sights and sounds of a thumping V8 especially when there’s 25-30 of them on track. They keep fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
“HCC has done an exceptional job over the past 12 months with both TA2 Muscle Cars and Trans Am. It's our fourth season together, a proud achievement when you look back and see how much we’ve both grown.
“Heading into Season 4 - 2026, our partnership continues to highlight why we’re proud to call the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series the home of pure racing.”
Matt MacKelden
Category Manager, TA2 Muscle Car Series
“We're excited to be moving forward into 2026 with the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series and pleased have it all locked away before the end of October,” MacKelden said.
“There's strong momentum both in our National Trans Am Series and TA2 Series, as there is with the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, so we're looking forward to being able to put on a show for our customers and our fans.
“When we looked at our options for 2026, it was clear the best value for our customers lay with the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series due to its strong free to air television package and our position as the premier category.
“The great majority of motorsport and in fact, many sports all around the world at both a semi-professional and professional level are broadcast behind a paywall. There's no doubt that times are tough in the community so having that “free-to-air component” is an enormously attractive aspect of the Super Series, and one that played an important role in our decision making for next year.
“Having the support of Hi-Tec Oils owner George Gambino and Marcos Ambrose stepping up with AASA brings further levels of professionalism and innovation which will benefit everyone in the long run - we’re excited.”
Marcos Ambrose
AASA National Competition and Commercial Director
“Securing TA2 as our premier category for the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Season 4 – 2026 has been priority number #1 for everybody involved. It makes sense for TA2 to continue to build on what is already a successful partnership,” Ambrose said.
“A personal thankyou to everybody at TA2 for working very hard to renew this partnership. It’s been a year of substantial change for both TA2 and AASA so having a stable, competitor friendly and value for money series is what motorsports needs right now in Australia.
“The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Season 4 – 2026 has been built around the TA2 series whilst following our core principle of focusing on the competitor, to make racing more affordable, more rewarding and easier to compete. TA2 in Season 4 – 2026 will have more race laps, more tv, more value, more competitor support and more intensity on the track.
“The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Season 4 – 2026 is the home of ‘pure racing.’
“We have some exciting announcements coming up regarding formats, tracks, categories and sporting code for the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Season 4 – 2026 which we will make public shortly, but what we can share now is that TA2 will be an action packed two day format where at AASA all race laps count – no more time certain racing – no more standing around waiting for the next race – it will be action packed from start to finish!”
