SMSP Test and Tune

Following on from the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series round, Sydney Sundown, at Sydney Motorsport Park, the Super Series team is offering a heavily discounted test/ride day at the venue.

The race meeting itself takes place at the end of the month Friday May 30 – Saturday May 31, with the test and tune/ride day succeeding it on Sunday June 1.

The day is open to anyone; however, Super Series competitors have a discounted and exclusive offer for sponsor and passenger rides.

As well as regular testing, teams and drivers can take the option of making it a ride day, taking sponsors, guests, family and friends out for as many hot laps as possible per passenger session.

One of the great benefits is that this is a rare test day on a weekend, very rarely do these kinds of events ever take place on a Saturday or Sunday.

It is also a bargain price, heavily discounted to a normal test day.

As previously stated, although there is a discounted price for Super Series competitors, it is open to all vehicles, whether they are racing cars including open wheelers, or regular road cars from Ferraris to Hyundais, Fords to Holdens and everything in between.

The sessions will alternate throughout day, one for passengers and one without, so it is open for those just wanting to go regular testing without passenger rides.

It must be noted that timing is not available for this event

Entry Fees (inc GST) for Super Series Competitors are as follows. $440 per car/driver, however it is half price for a second driver, at $220 and $40 per passenger.

For non-Super Series competitors (open to public), $660 per car/driver and $330 for a second driver, and for the passengers, $60 each.

This is great value as a test and tune day at SMSP is usually valued at over $1000.

The test commences at 8.30am and runs through until 4:30pm, bump in is from 7:00am and bump out between 4pm to 5pm.

For passengers there are some clothing requirements, there will be no helmets available to hire on the day.

Teams must bring their own helmets that comply to the current Australian standards AS1698 or ECE 22.05 and 22.06 standards. Motorcross helmets will not be accepted.

Clothing must cover passenger’s wrists to neck and down to their ankles, so no t-shirts or shorts, the material must be non-flammable cotton.

Similarly, footwear must be non-flammable and fully enclosed, no thongs or sandals will be accepted.
